The CMMS & Asset Data Coordinator is responsible for the development, population, validation, of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the NZT/NEP facilities. The role ensures that all maintainable assets, preventive maintenance programs, spare parts, inspection plans, operating performance standards, statutory compliance requirements, and asset integrity records are accurately established within the CMMS prior to commissioning, start-up, and handover to Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
CMMS Development & Implementation
Develop and maintain the CMMS implementation strategy.
Asset Hierarchy & Master Data Development
• Define equipment classification structures.
• Develop the complete Asset Hierarchy based on the project's Reference Designation System (RDS).
• Establish Functional Locations from Plant level down to maintainable equipment level.
• Create and maintain Equipment Master records.
• Ensure consistency between:
• Asset Register
• Tag Register
• Equipment Lists
• P&IDs
• Electrical Single Line Diagrams
• Instrument Index
• Vendor Documentation
• CMMS Asset Structure
• Ensure all maintainable equipment is correctly identified and structured within the CMMS.
Maintenance Program Integration
• Review and implement the maintenance plan provided by GE Vernova for Power Plant equipment
• Review maintenance requirements from licensors, OEMs, package vendors and equipment suppliers
• Convert maintenance requirements into CMMS maintenance plans and task lists
• Standardize maintenance strategies across the Power Plant, Carbon Capture Plant and Compression Station
• Create preventive maintenance plans and associated job plans
• Ensure all maintenance activities are assigned appropriate frequencies, resources, craft requirements and estimated durations
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Engineers to validate maintenance content
Operating Performance Standards (OPS)
• Implement the tasks related to Pass/Fail in the CMMS 5. Statutory Inspection & Regulatory Compliance
• Support development of inspection programs associated with:
• Pressure Systems
• Rotating Equipment
• Lifting Equipment
• Electrical Systems
• Instrumented Protection Systems
• Emissions Monitoring Equipment
• Carbon Capture Process Equipment
• Implement the inspection plan in the CMMS
Ex Equipment:
• Implement the Ex-Register in the CMMS
Spare Parts, Materials & BOM Management
• Support the development of the equipment Bill of Material (BOM) structures.
• Create and maintain spare parts master data.
• Participate in review of recommended spare parts lists.
• Establish links between assets, BOMs and inventory records.
• Support identification of critical spares.
• Ensure material master data is complete and accurate before operations start
Asset Integrity & Reliability
• Support equipment criticality assessments.
• Establish asset criticality classifications within the CMMS.
• Configure failure codes and failure reporting structures.
• Ensure reliability and asset integrity requirements are reflected within maintenance plans and inspection programs.

• Experience reviewing OEM documentation and maintenance requirements.
• Qualifications Degree or Higher National Diploma in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering , Instrumentation & Control Engineering , Reliability Engineering ,Asset Management, Equivalent Technical Discipline.
Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year of database implementation or CMMS master data experience.
- Experience in Power Generation, Carbon Capture, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical or Heavy Industrial facilities.
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability processes.
- Experience reviewing OEM documentation and maintenance requirements.
- Experience developing asset hierarchies, equipment master records, and BOM structures for CMMS.
- Ability to create preventive maintenance plans, job plans, task lists and implement inspection programs in CMMS.
- Ability to manage large datasets and ensure data quality, compliance and safety.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines.
