Roles and Responsibilities
- Reviews blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices.
- Train metrology personnel on correct use of CMM equipment.
- Creates correlation programs to validate programing strategies.
- Work with a designated team to comply & meets deadlines
- CMM Programming
- New Product Introduction – Support Engineering Team
- Drawing review / feasibility
- Develop CMM programs plannings & document changes history records.
- Ensure validations for CMM´s R&R and capability studies
- Review and recommend process / modifications to achieve customer approval
- Develop Instructions on routines of setup for users
- Follow and comply with QMS documented procedures.
- Other job related activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- +3 years experience in CMM programming
- Experience in programming and measuring rotating engine parts such as Blades, Vanes, Blisks, Disks, Impellers, Gears, etc.
- Experience in the use of precise measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
- CMM Programming in PC-DMIS and Quindos
- Fully trained experienced Offline CMM Programming to alignment requirements.
- Knowledge in GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
- Statistical process control, QC-Cal or similar quality control software
- Blue print reading of rotatory aircraft engine parts
