Position Summary
Mill Creek Machining (MCM), a CMT company, is seeking a CMM Programmer for our Paullina, IA location. The CMM Programmer will develop, maintain, and generate coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs which will be utilized to inspect and verify production materials and components. *The pay range for this role is between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform programming of CMM Machine(s).
- Maintain accurate programs on the server.
- Operate CMM Machine and maintain CMM instructions for the setup and inspection of parts.
- Provide insight on programming changes and product calibration for process improvement.
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, models, evaluation sheets, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection, testing procedures, adjustment, and certification methods.
- Collect and Analyze inspection data and make computations as necessary to determine inspection results and perform first article inspections.
- Communicate inspection results, part status, updates, and specific instructions clearly and effectively to team members and participate in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities.
- Develop production process quality documentation and requirements to achieve customer reliability objectives using the High QA software.
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained by utilizing appropriate safety processes and systems.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Two-year Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years' experience working in quality control in a CNC machining environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and quality standards.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and capable of using paperless systems.
- Ability to conduct tests to ensure products and materials meet the established quality specification.
- Adept at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
