Leidos Mechanical Manufacturing Facility is seeking a talented CMM Programmer/Operator to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Mechanical Manufacturing provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, Prototyping, scientific and IT solutions.
Successful candidate will be responsible for verifying that machined and assembled hardware meet specified drawing/CAD model requirements using Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) and laser trackers. Other duties may include performing receiving inspection, calibration of standard inspection equipment, and setting up and measuring parts using standard measuring equipment. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced R&D environment with minimal supervision. Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift.

Primary Responsibilities.
The CMM Programmer/Operator will be responsible for verifying that electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet specified drawing/specification, work procedures as well as assisting in documenting work. Examples of hardware are cable assemblies, structural hardware, integrated assemblies and providing test support etc. Other duties may include performing receiving inspection, calibration of standard inspection equipment, and setting up and measuring parts using standard measuring equipment. Tracking and maintaining non-conformance on the floor. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications
• Candidate must have a high school diploma/GED and at least 3-5 years of experience in CMM programming and inspection experience.
• Candidates must have demonstrated experience with standard measurement equipment, i.e. micrometers, calipers, multi-meters, height gages, gage blocks, etc.
• Candidates must be able to execute or witness test procedures and generate test reports.
• Candidates must have demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, 3-D solid models, and specifications and prepare handwritten or computer generated inspection reports.
• Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, C of C’s and NCR’s.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Candidate must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in inspection of complex aerospace hardware, non-conforming material, Material Review Board (MRB), review/creation of Acceptance Data Packs / First Article Inspection.
• Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first article inspection.
• Experience with Brown and Sharpe CMM w/PC-DMIS software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Digital Product Definition is also desired.

Pay Range:Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
