A Market Intelligence role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data to provide actionable insights that guide strategic business decisions. This includes supervising industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors to help the organization maintain a competitive edge.

Market Model and TAM ownership:

  • Manage the TAM process for CMBU, ensuring quarterly updates across Segment Marketing, Product Management, Corp MI team, and Corporate Strategy
  • Align customer TAM and product TAM as well as Market TAM datasets for unified planning across business units for CMBU
  • Provide insight into server market trends understanding and quantifying server platform models, workload models, etc.
  • Be proactively engaging with CPU vendors. RCD vendors, to provide overview on server DRAM market; With input and intelligence captured, enter the input to drive the model and output the quantified TAM with insights
  • Be able to present and communicate in a concise and impactful manner with executive teams to drive narratives for each business planning cycle.

Market Trends and Competitive Landscape:

  • Deliver actionable insights on server market trends, including analysis and quantification of server platform models, workload models, and related dynamics.
  • Be informed of product roadmap and identify the gap or disconnect to provide input between TAM (Total Addressable Market) and SAM (Serviceable Available Market)
  • Source and integrate diverse data sets (customer input, industry market analysts,

Emerging technology and market demand modeling:

  • With values of new technologies and products understood, be able to quantify the market demand within server DRAM demand market.  
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills driving cross functional team’s alignment and consensus in market forecasting

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and ability to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Proficient in translating sophisticated technical analyses into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with business, technical, and executive teams.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactive approach to staying current with AI advancements, market intelligence practices, and emerging industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or niche certification in AI, Data Science, or Market Intelligence.
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, cloud computing, or technology sector TAM analysis.
  • Market Analysis: Experience in market sizing, segmentation, and forecasting; understanding of Server Market or DRAM Market
  • Familiarity with proprietary and public market research databases (e.g., Gartner, IDC, Forrester).
  • Prior exposure to sales operations, product strategy, or management consulting environments.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$121,000.00 - $274,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
