Southern Health Partners (SHP) is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team at the Angelina County Jail. In this role, you'll help deliver safe, accurate medication administration while working alongside a supportive team of nurses and medical professionals.

 QualificationsWhat You'll Do

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will help support quality patient care by:

  • Administering medications safely and accurately within your scope of practice
  • Maintaining accurate Medication Administration Records (MAR)
  • Monitoring patients and reporting changes or concerns to nursing staff
  • Assisting with medication inventory, storage, and accountability
  • Supporting nurses and providers with daily healthcare operations
  • Following established healthcare policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Helping maintain an organized, professional, and patient-focused environment
 What We're Looking For
  • Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification appropriate for the state of Texas
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
  • Previous healthcare or correctional experience is a plus, but not required
