Position Summary
Based in Seoul and reporting to the General Manager, you will be a key member of the affiliate Enabling Team. You will be jointly accountable for co-creating and embedding the South Korea long-term vision and strategy, fostering an environment that promotes trust, transparency, and a customer centricity that inspires and motivates teams to develop and adopt an agile way of working.

In this position, you will lead the Finance & Operation Cluster being responsible for managing and overseeing the financial results of the affiliate with functions business finance and analytics team, Wholesalers & KAM team, Procurement, Supply Chain and business operation.
Your main responsibilities can be categorized as:
Business partnership

define in collaboration with business leaders the strategic direction of the organization

network and collaborate across borders to build a strong network beyond Pharma Finance to deliver better outcomes and overcome barriers

oversee the local finance & work closely with the shared service center, ensuring adherence to Roche Group Accounting (FGA), local accounting standards, tax and customs
-
oversee the affiliate procurement and supply chain processes, with focus on value delivery for Roche, balancing costs, service quality, compliance and strategic partnerships
-
develop financial strategies that ensure compliance, and enable the delivery of more medicines to patients faster
-
oversee collaboration with key external stakeholders like the distributor and wholesaler, ensuring smooth operations
Insights Generation
-
support our people to sense and respond, by translating data into actionable insights
-
stimulate an environment to support smart experiments, rapid iterations and ability to scale
-
proactively identify key challenges and opportunities and assess their impact on the organization
-
identify industry trends and potential business opportunities and risks; generating meaningful market insights, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the affiliate
Long-term portfolio planning and resourcing strategy

drive a simple and fit-for-purpose business planning process that captures key strategic directions
-
formulate a local finance strategy balancing global/regional requirements with local imperatives
-
engage with business partners in crafting and executing value enhancing decisions through business performance (actuals vs forecast)

guide the business in meeting short to long-term goals by providing relevant financial and non-financial information
Key Account Management and Wholesaler management
-
Lead the key account and wholesaler team to define and execute strategies in coordination with commercial leaders to deliver on the affiliate strategy
-
Re-inforce Roche partnership with Key Accounts and understand market dynamic to share relevant insights with other functions to adjust the strategy

Define the overall wholesaler strategy, fast product listing in key accounts and successful bidding.
Overall People/Functional Leadership and development

leverage VACC leadership principles to enable diverse teams to contribute to organizational and enterprise outcomes and impact.

Actively contribute to the Finance community and drive/support delivery of outcomes
To be successful in this application, our new lead will have a minimum 10 years of finance experience; a professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or University Degree/MBA and a proven record of ensuring financial governance and a strong network with the internal and external financial communities. You are a curious leader that is comfortable to contribute also outside your core expertise.
