The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technical projects to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget while meeting high-quality standards. The Technical Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.
Responsibilities

Responsible for actively engaging with cross-functional technical and product management teams to prioritize tasks/work effort by understanding scope, requirements, level of effort, and pipeline, and clarify tradeoffs when changes are made to that plan

Create and monitor active work, backlog, priorities and risks to team members, internal and external stakeholders

Lead project scoping sessions to define technical requirements, deliverables, and timelines

Create detailed project plans, including resource allocation, project budget, milestones, and risk assessment, to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects

Manage project progress through regular check-ins, adjusting scope and priorities as needed to keep projects on track and aligned with business expectations

Provide advice to business partners on options to accomplish requested projects

Manage project documentation and report on project status, risks, and issues

Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion

Implement, measure and report on key performance indicators and ensure project dashboards are up to date.

Adhere to enterprise-wide project management methodology standards
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
-
At least 3 years’ experience with project coordination or management of IT and/or software development projects

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability influence others, build relationships, and work effectively with others in the organization

Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
-
Ability to translate technical concepts to peers, management, leadership and customers
-
Ability to work within multiple SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
-
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively remove obstacles
-
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising technical teams
-
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).

Preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification

Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of managing IT projects.
