The Cloud Security Architect will design and support secure cloud and hybrid architectures for federal mission environments using AWS, Azure, and Zero Trust principles. This role will help modernize mission-critical systems while ensuring cloud solutions align with federal security, compliance, governance, and operational requirements.
The Cloud Security Architect will develop cloud architectures, identity and access management strategies, encryption approaches, logging and monitoring capabilities, migration plans, compliance documentation, and implementation guidance. This position will support cloud modernization initiatives, secure design reviews, technical architecture reviews, risk identification, and implementation planning across cloud and hybrid environments.
This role requires a hands-on technical architect with experience designing secure cloud environments, supporting AWS and Azure solutions, applying Zero Trust principles, and working within federal security and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical judgment, clear communication skills, documentation discipline, and the ability to collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, application, and government stakeholder teams in a classified or sensitive federal mission environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Minimum 7 years cloud/infrastructure architecture experience
- AWS or Azure architecture experience
- Experience designing secure architectures for federal, classified, or regulated environments.
