Job Summary:
Assetworks is seeking a Cloud System Administrator Intern to help support our Tech Services team. Intern will gain a wealth of experience in database, application, and cloud administration. Position will include the opportunity to learn and understand AWS infrastructure and management.
Job Description:
This position will assist with managing the hosted cloud infrastructure services and multiple servers. This includes learning the installation, configuration, and testing procedures for our primary software applications, upgrading the application for existing customers, setting up AWS EC2 and RDS instances, installing Linux and Windows OSs, retrieving database backups, running customer-provided scripts, monitoring system resources, and extensive documentation.

Analyze the effectiveness of the technology infrastructure for enterprise and ensure the integrity and efficiency of vital systems.

Troubleshooting and maintaining software systems

Managing capacity, storage planning, and database performance

Research, assess, and evaluate technology in the infrastructure

Understand system requirements and determine how to improve systems to match demand

Oversee system performance and report generation

Secure system integrity from any breaches or viruses and play an essential role in risk-mitigation planning, including creating backup plans, safeguards for data, user security policies, and identity management.

Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
