Responsibilities:
  • Technical Discovery & Qualification: Engage with prospective clients to understand their current IT landscape, business objectives, pain points, and technical requirements related to private cloud and datacenter modernization.

  • Solution Architecture & Design: Design and architect comprehensive private cloud solutions leveraging technologies such as Nutanix AOS/AHV, VMware vSphere/ESXi, NSX-T, vSAN, and associated ecosystem components. This includes sizing, capacity planning, network design, and integration strategies.

  • Security Integration: Incorporate robust security solutions (e.g., micro-segmentation, firewalling, identity & access management, data encryption, compliance frameworks) into proposed architectures, demonstrating how they address client security posture and regulatory requirements.

  • Proof-of-Concept (PoC) & Demo Leadership: Lead and execute technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and workshops, showcasing the capabilities and value of proposed solutions in a compelling manner.

  • Technical Proposal & Presentation: Develop detailed technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and compelling presentations that articulate the technical benefits, ROI, and strategic advantages of our solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Technical Authority & Advisor: Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, addressing complex technical inquiries, overcoming objections, and building strong, long-term relationships.

  • Sales Team Enablement: Provide ongoing technical training and support to the sales team, enhancing their understanding of our solutions and competitive differentiators.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, new technologies, and emerging standards in private cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and datacenter security.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, professional services, and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer transitions and product feedback loops.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in a presales, solutions architect, or senior consulting role, specifically focused on datacenter infrastructure and private cloud solutions.

  • Deep hands-on and architectural expertise with Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform (AOS, AHV, Prism Central) is essential.

  • Strong expertise with VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN). Knowledge of NSX-T for network virtualization and security is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrable experience in architecting and integrating various security solutions within datacenter and cloud environments (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, identity management, endpoint security, micro-segmentation principles).

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs) as they apply to virtualized and cloud environments.

  • Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, object storage) and data protection solutions.

  • Excellent presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about customer challenges.

  • Ability to travel [e.g., 25-50%] as required to meet clients and support sales activities.

Desired Certifications (one or more highly preferred):
  • Nutanix Certified Master (NCM) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) - Multicloud Infrastructure

  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH)

  • Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
