Job Description:
We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect to contribute to the strategy and evolution of our enterprise cloud ecosystem (“Mars Cloud”) within the Cloud CoE Strategy tower. This role combines strong technical expertise with emerging leadership responsibilities, supporting the definition and execution of cloud capabilities, roadmap initiatives, and platform improvements. You will work on developing Terraform modules, reference architectures, and enabling self-service through the Internal Developer Portal (IDP), while also contributing to multi-cloud strategy and M&A integration efforts. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior architect transitioning into a leadership role, with increasing influence across teams and initiatives.
What We’re Looking For- 5+ years of experience in enterprise cloud environments
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture (governance, landing zones, core services)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and CI/CD automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), including policy-as-code (OPA/Sentinel)
- Solid understanding of secure delivery practices — how to embed security and compliance guardrails into CI/CD and IaC pipelines (e.g., identity, secrets management, automated scanning)
- Exposure to AWS and/or GCP (multi-cloud environments)
- Experience contributing to cloud strategy or platform evolution
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure fundamentals (Operating Systems, Databases, Virtualization, Storage)
- Familiarity with Internal Developer Portals (IDP)
- Experience with IaC orchestration and governance platforms — also known as TACOS (Terraform Automation and Collaboration Software) — that provide visibility, policy enforcement, drift detection, and standardization across IaC workflows
- Hands-on use of GenAI / AI coding assistants for infrastructure, including prompt engineering and spec-driven development applied to IaC
- Certifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Terraform Associate
- Contribute to cloud strategy and roadmap execution
Support the definition and implementation of cloud capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and platform direction - Develop and enhance cloud platform components
Build and maintain Terraform modules, templates, and reference architectures to enable scalable and standardized cloud adoption - Support M&A cloud initiatives and platform onboarding
Participate in cloud assessments and integration efforts, helping onboard new environments into Mars Cloud - Enable governance and self-service adoption
Apply architecture standards and guardrails while supporting the rollout of self-service capabilities through the IDP
- Contribute to multi-cloud architecture discussions and decisions, supporting workload placement and design considerations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, platform) to drive adoption of cloud standards
- Support the evolution of Mars Cloud capabilities, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers and junior engineers
- Begin developing people leadership capabilities, potentially managing or coaching a small team
