Linux Senior Associate
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Senior Associate to join our Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering team. In this role, you'll work with a dynamic group of engineers to build, deploy, and maintain cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure. You'll play a key part in managing Linux-based systems, developing automation scripts, and working within cloud environments—primarily AWS.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in cloud infrastructure and a desire to deepen their experience with modern DevOps tools and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, deploy and maintain Linux-based server environments
- Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system operations
- Support the deployment and management of containerized and non-containerized applications
- Work within AWS and other cloud environments to provision, configure, and maintain cloud services
- Collaborate with team members to improve system reliability and performance
- Monitoring, Patching and Backup of Linux systems
- Handle support cases in an on-call environment
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Linux systems administration
- Assess, plan, designs, implements, configure, and manage Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, RedHat, and CentOS)
- Resolve system issues and addressing change requests
- Establish security measures, monitor system performance, and perform troubleshooting
- Implement and manage backup and recovery
- Experience in virtual server implementation and support
- Proficient in Bash scripting for automation
- Minimum 1 year of cloud or virtualization experience
- Minimum 1 year on-call and technical support experience
Preferred (Nice to Have) Skills
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Familiarity with networking and firewall concepts (TCP/IP, Subnetting, VPN, DNS, gateways, and routing)
- Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible along with other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments
- LPIC Essentials or higher
