Requirements
Cyber Security Consultant
 
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you’ll support a team responsible for the Security Operations of Azure Cloud environment to our client cloud environments hosted on the Client environment. Some of the key activities that you’ll perform include:
 
Responsibilities
·        Security Management and Operations:
o   Monitor and respond to cloud security alerts, incidents, access requests, and exceptions within SLA/SLO requirements.
o   Investigate suspicious activity, unauthorized access, blocked traffic, phishing, malware indicators, and policy violations.
o   Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Azure security controls, firewalls, VPNs, network security groups, security groups, port-access rules, and network access controls.
o   Support whitelist requests, website and cloud application access, Azure port openings, and security exception processes.
o   Troubleshoot connectivity across Azure resources, virtual machines, virtual networks, VDI, Azure Virtual Desktop, endpoints, and enterprise networks.
o   Review SIEM, firewall, endpoint, and cloud-native security logs and alerts; escalate complex or high-impact issues as needed.
o   Manage ServiceNow incidents and RITM requests, maintaining accurate work notes, resolution details, status updates, and escalation records.
o   Support vulnerability remediation, security assessments, patch validation, control testing, evidence collection, and risk tracking.
o   Support identity and access management, including role-based access control, privileged access, and periodic access reviews.
o   Monitor hybrid cloud environments and perform configuration reviews against approved security standards and architecture patterns.
o   Maintain security management tools and platforms to improve operational visibility, security, and compliance.
o   Coordinate with infrastructure, network, endpoint, application, service desk, and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
o   Develop and maintain knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, checklists, and automated processes.
o   Analyze recurring ticket trends and recommend improvements to reduce repeat issues and increase efficiency.
o   Participate in on-call or shift-based support as required.
·        Compliance and Governance:
o   Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as NIST, CIS, PCI, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
o   Participate in security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
·        Collaboration and Communication:
o   Work effectively in a globally distributed team, managing multiple priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
o   Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o   Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on hybrid cloud security management practices.
·        Continuous Improvement:
o   Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud security operations.
o   Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud security technologies and management practices.
o   Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for hybrid cloud security management.
 
 
Requirements:
·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, or a related field.
·        3-5 years of information technology and/or information security experience.
·        Knowledge and expertise in major public cloud service providers: Azure
·        Moderate level of understanding associated with firewalls, VPCs, security groups, and key management and secure SDLC pipelines.
·        Ability to identify gaps and/or security requirements and inject security controls across the security domains to cloud infrastructure.
·        Exposure to DevOps practices and automation of software testing, delivery, and infrastructure changes.
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
·        Experience with security-related regulatory requirements, such as NIST, PCI, ISO 27001, GDPR.
·        Experience with log collection and storage (e.g., Elastic stacks, Splunk, etc.).
·        Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer are preferred.
·        Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Skills Required
