Cloud Platform Engineer

Primary Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with our Cloud Architecture and Cyber security teams to create scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure that meets our business needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Deployment of cloud-based applications using Azure services
- Development of Infrastructure as Code to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources, including integration with other vendor products such as Service Now
- Write and maintain scripts for automation and deployment
- Collaborate with Cloud Architecture and Cyber security teams to ensure best practices in cloud
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and infrastructure
- Engineering of Azure Policy to ensure adherence to industry standards
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud development and management
- Highly proficient in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking including vWAN
- Demonstrable experience with Terraform
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell
- Experience with using Terraform and Azure DevOps to deploy various database technologies including SQL and Cosmos DB
- Experience with Full Stack Observability technologies
- Experience implementing Azure Policy using Terraform
- Familiarity with Palo Alto ecosystem
- Extensive experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience writing Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Understanding of security best practices in the cloud
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Must be passionate about technology innovation and leading change
- Must be sincere about creating a collaborative, caring, and safe environment for all global teammates
Highly beneficial:
- Experience with integration with Service Now (Change Management, Incident and Event Management, CMDB)
- Experience with Azure Fabric, Azure Data Lake, and Snowflake technologies
- Ability to develop high level designs to Solutions Architecture standards
- Experience in AWS, GCP, or other CSPs
