About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned and motivated Technical Architect to lead our Cloud Platform Team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in SAP Basis and proven experience in team leadership. This role involves managing a team of technical consultants who support SAP Fioneer project implementations through the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring optimal availability and performance within the project’s SAP environment.
While experience in the financial services industry is advantageous, it is not a requirement. However, strong leadership skills and experience are essential for success in this role, as SAP Fioneer is focused on delivering Financial Services Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Mentor: Guide and mentor a team of SAP Fioneer Cloud Platform consultants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide regular, constructive performance feedback to support team growth and development.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate team schedules and resources to ensure consistent support and maximum system uptime across all active projects in the region.
- Project and Goal Management: Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, manage project assignments, and track team and individual goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- System Oversight: Oversee the installation, upgrade, patching, and performance tuning of SAP systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Best Practice Implementation: Implement SAP best practices to ensure high availability, robust backup and recovery procedures, and effective disaster recovery plans for all systems.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor SAP systems and perform preventive maintenance to optimize performance, address potential issues before they impact users, and ensure reliability.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all SAP systems are secure and fully compliant with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the integrity of sensitive data and operations.
Education:
- Bachelor/Master’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant skills and expertise are prioritized over formal education.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of SAP Basis Experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- System Landscape Design and Management.
- System Installation and Configuration.
- System Monitoring and Performance Tuning.
- Security and User Administration.
- Database Administration.
- Patch and Upgrade Management.
- Disaster Recovery Planning.
- Integration Management.
- System Health Checks and Troubleshooting.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer.
- Strong understanding of banking processes and regulatory requirements, especially in the LATAM region.
Skills:
- SAP certifications are welcome
- Knowledge of cloud-based SAP solutions (SAP on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), and ITIL processes
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate the team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders..
