CORE MISSION:

Installation, configuration & run of Thales internal environment (Linux VMs) on top of VMware vSphere infrastructure including configuration & management of physical servers, SAN & LAN switches, storage & backup infrastructure.

You will contribute as well to automation of deployment using Ansible, Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Install and configure VMs with RHEL OS & VMware vSphere cluster
• Install, configure & maintain servers, storage, LAN/SAN switches & other internal infrastructure HW
• Develop & improve automation tools using Ansible & Terraform
• Maintain self-hosted GitLab & GitLab runners
• Contribute to documentation (Netbox, Confluence) & knowledge sharing inside the team

Mandatory skills:

• Linux/Unix systems - Has to have Linux experience. Needs to know by hard basic Linux commands (ps, netstat, rsync, netcat, umask).
• Bash or python scripting - Needs to be able to read & understand basic shell/python scripts.

Optional:

• Networking - Understands IPv4 protocol (network size, broadcast, default gateway).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Mercurial, SVN)
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
• Experience with Virtualization / HW
