You’ll directly shape how the world's leading insurers operate by helping to transform the policy, underwriting, and claims systems that millions of people rely on every day.

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer to manage, enhance, and optimize the ServiceNow platform across enterprise environments. This role combines platform administration, engineering, automation, integrations, and operational support to ensure a secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performing ServiceNow environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform administration and a solid understanding of ServiceNow development, JavaScript, integrations, and enterprise IT operations. This position will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, and application teams to deliver platform capabilities and continuously improve the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Approximately 20% of the role will focus on ServiceNow development and automation, with the remaining focus on platform engineering, administration, reliability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize the ServiceNow platform across development, test, and production environments.
  • Ensure platform availability, stability, security, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and administration.
  • Plan and execute ServiceNow upgrades, patches, instance cloning, releases, and environment maintenance.
  • Configure and manage ServiceNow users, groups, roles, access controls, system properties, certificates, and other platform components.
  • Administer and support MID Servers, integrations, and connectivity between ServiceNow and enterprise applications.
  • Monitor platform health and performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, application, and other technology teams to support enterprise integrations and platform initiatives.
  • Support ServiceNow ITSM capabilities and ensure platform configurations align with security, governance, and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Coordinate platform changes, maintenance activities, releases, and disaster recovery processes while minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture standards, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and REST/SOAP integrations.
  • Build automation and reusable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve platform efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and internal or third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP, MID Servers, and other integration technologies.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and root cause analysis activities involving the ServiceNow platform.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, reliability, automation, security, and user experience.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance on ServiceNow administration, development, automation, and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, software engineering, platform engineering, or a related technology discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and/or engineering the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, patches, cloning, releases, instance management, and platform maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow security, roles, ACLs, users, groups, system properties, and platform configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development components such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and/or related platform capabilities.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting REST and SOAP integrations and working with APIs.
  • Experience with MID Servers and enterprise system integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with ITSM processes and enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance optimization, platform governance, and enterprise ServiceNow architecture.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring to other engineers and administrators.
What You'll Bring
