In this role, you will design and implement cloud-native infrastructure, drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle, and embed security and reliability into everything we deploy. You'll work closely with product engineering, DevOps, security, and global cloud teams to deliver highly available, compliant, and cost-effective platforms-primarily on Microsoft Azure, with exposure to multi-cloud environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, setting standards, and enabling teams to ship faster and safer using automation and modern DevOps practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.

  • Collaborate with global Cloud and Platform Engineering leadership to ensure consistent architectures, standards, and operating models.

  • Partner with application, DevOps, and product teams to support new product launches and platform enhancements.

  • Embed security-by-design principles using Azure-native controls such as Entra ID, Azure Policy, RBAC, and network security services.

  • Build and maintain enterprise-grade cloud networking solutions, including Application Gateway, WAF, Azure Firewall, VPN, and private connectivity.

  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes / AKS environments, including DNS, ingress, certificates, and cluster security.

  • Define, document, and continuously improve cloud standards, best practices, and operational runbooks.

  • Participate in the full SDLC, providing cloud architecture guidance, troubleshooting production issues, and driving reliability improvements.

  • Contribute to platform modernization initiatives, including automation, observability, and AI-ready infrastructure capabilities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud / Platform / DevOps Engineering roles.

  • Flexible working hours aligned with US time zones.

  • Strong experience operating enterprise-scale SaaS or hybrid cloud environments.

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (required); exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus.

  • Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.

  • Solid understanding of identity, access management, and governance (Entra ID, Azure Policy, RBAC).

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud networking, including load balancing, firewalls, WAF, VPNs, and private endpoints.

  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes / AKS, DNS, certificate management, and PowerShell scripting.

  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and risk management concepts in cloud environments.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed global teams.

  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
