Summary
We are seeking a senior Backend Developer to join our cloud development team and work alongside our lead backend Java developer. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our cloud-based RFID management platform, ensuring scalable and reliable backend services for our global customer base. This role offers the opportunity to learn and contribute to a critical system while helping to reduce single points of failure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for our cloud platform in Java and Spring framework
- Collaborate with the Lead Backend Engineer to learn existing system architecture and best practices
- Implement new backend features and API endpoints as required
- Optimize database queries and improve system performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in production environments
- Participate in system design discussions and architecture decisions
- Create and maintain technical documentation for backend systems
- Support integration with RFID hardware and third-party services
Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of proven Java applications development
- Strong proficiency in Java backend programming (Spring framework is a big plus)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development practices
- Knowledge of RFID technology or IoT systems is a plus
- Oracle Java certification is a big plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a big advantage)
