Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial goals, challenges, and requirements
  • Design and implement customas well as standardizedFinOps solutions that align with client objectives 
  • Analyze cloud usage patterns and cost data toidentifyoptimization opportunities 
  • Develop forecastsand reports toprovide actionable insights 
  • Cloud architecture consulting for our cloud Resell clients 
  • Present complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support
  • Stay current with industry best practices and trends inFinOpsand cloud technologies 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Extensive experience (4+ years) inFinOps, cloud cost management, or related fields
  • Strong understanding ofcloudtechnologies (AWS/Azure), services, and cost structures 
  • One or moreAssociate-level AWS and/or Azure certifications  Professional-level certification preferred 
  • Familiarity withTheFinOps Foundation, frameworksand best practices 
  • Familiarity with FinOps tooling such as Cost Management Platforms, Dashboards, and Optimization tools 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstratedability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams 
  • Proventrack recordof delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget. 

 

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science or relevant experience 

 

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $140,000.00 to $170,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing? 

World Wide Technology (WWT) is currently seeking a FinOps Technical Solutions Architect who will work closely with our clients to design, implement, and manage financial cloud operations and solutions tailored to their unique needs. This position requires a deep understanding of both financial concepts and cloud technologies, as well as the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 

 

As a FinOps Technical Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clients, sales, operations, and technical experts, to develop and deliver comprehensive FinOps strategies. You will drive client success by ensuring efficient cost management, optimizing cloud spending, and enhancing financial visibility through innovative solutions. This role demands creativity, analytical thinking, and effective communication to present complex financial insights to stakeholders at various levels.

Skills Required

  • 3+ years experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of AWS and Azure services and cloud cost structures
  • Associate-level AWS and/or Azure certification
  • Professional-level AWS or Azure certification
  • Familiarity with The FinOps Foundation frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with FinOps tooling (cost management platforms, dashboards, optimization tools)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Google Cloud architecture or consulting (Google Resell clients)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget
