Vacancy for Cloud FinOps (f/m) in the Cloud Team have arisen within Airbus in Bangalore, India,.
Your Role:
With the Digital Transformation of Airbus at full pace, the information technology ecosystem of the company is completely being redesigned and looking to take advantage of the best in class digital technology available in the market to deliver business value. Cloud is one of the main enablers of this transformation.
In that context, Airbus IT teams are being entirely reshaped and seeking a Cloud FinOps , whose responsibility will be to ensure we get the most value out of every dollar we spend in the cloud. As a Cloud FinOps, you will be a member of the cloud computing team continuously innovating and improving our path on cloud optimization, while helping to drive a culture of accountability regarding efficient cloud usage.
Your Responsibilities/Tasks:
You will Develop and maintain cloud cost management strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation. Analyze cloud usage patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations.
You will establish and enforce cloud financial governance policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, external regulations, and best practices.
Provide guidance and support on complex financial management and optimization tasks. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
You will Evaluate, implement, and manage FinOps tools and platforms to enhance cloud cost visibility and management. Stay current with emerging FinOps technologies and trends.
You will Design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi cloud landscape.
You will Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast.
You will contribute to demystify Cloud cost optimization initiatives for internal customers to enhance efficiency of cloud usage.
Provide training and support to internal teams on cloud cost management practices and tools. Promote a culture of cost awareness and accountability across the organization.
Generate detailed reports and dashboards on cloud expenditures, usage, and savings. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Deep understanding of cloud-based services usage and pricing; AWS, GCP or Azure.
Strong understanding of cloud pricing models, cost management tools, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with cloud and services is beneficial.
Unique ability to bridge finance and technology.
Strong understanding of cloud requirements, ability to partner cross-organizationally and drive cost optimization discussions.
Experience with 3rd party cloud cost optimization tools (CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc )
Has an Automation and DevOps mindset and has experience of automating deployments (Infra and Applicative - DevOps, microservices, etc).
Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, containers, databases and networking.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record working in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects with handling multiple stakeholders.
Has a habit of putting customers first and is able to do customer facing (discuss, convince and empathize) and be the bridge between customer needs and the technology available.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python.
Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools
Certification in Azure, GCP or AWS
FinOps Certified Practitioner
