Cloud FinOps Engineer

We seek a FinOps Engineer to join our DevOps & Cloud Group, focusing on optimizing cloud costs, driving financial accountability, and leveraging automation for efficient cloud resource management.

• Analyze, monitor, and report on cloud usage and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving efficiency, and leading the development and maturation of the FinOps framework.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies, ensuring alignment between technical activities and financial objectives.
•  Implement and maintain financial governance and controls across cloud platforms, utilizing automation for cost trend optimization, anomaly detection, and accurate forecasting.
• Work closely with procurement and vendors to manage cloud costs, ensuring effective negotiation and alignment with organizational financial goals.
• Educate and train teams on FinOps best practices, promoting financial accountability and fostering collaboration across departments.
• Lead change management initiatives within cloud or IT transformations, guiding teams and influencing best practices in cloud financial management.

• Minimum 2 years as a FinOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS essential, Azure and GCP a plus) and financial principles.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; relevant certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with experience in change management and cross-departmental collaboration.
