This role emphasizes strategic FinOps leadership and DevOps understanding, offering an opportunity to influence operational and financial efficiencies in a cloud-centric environment.
What will you be bringing to the team?
- FinOps Focused Activities:
- Drive cloud cost management initiatives across Azure and AWS platforms.
- Develop and maintain FinOps reporting dashboards and frameworks.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to optimize licensing, reservations, and cost utilization.
- Educate teams on FinOps best practices and cost-saving strategies.
- Present cost analysis and optimization opportunities to management and stakeholders.
- DevOps-Related Oversight:
- Provide high-level guidance on infrastructure automation, monitoring, and security.
- Review and validate CI/CD processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure containerization strategies align with business and operational efficiency needs.
- Oversee incident resolution processes and liaise with technical teams for issue resolution.
- Strategic Contributions:
- Recommend innovative solutions for system and process optimization.
- Ensure alignment of IT strategies with financial and operational objectives.
- Build and maintain documentation for processes and procedures, focusing on cost efficiency
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in FinOps or System Administration, or a non-degree professional with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnostic procedures, and process optimization.
- FinOps Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience in Azure cost management, billing, and invoicing.
- Deep understanding of global reservation scopes, shared reservations, and blended rates.
- Proficiency in identifying and communicating cost optimization strategies to stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in cloud license management and Azure cost APIs.
- Advanced skills in FinOps reporting using Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Proven ability to build and present business cases for cloud cost management initiatives.
- Ability to recommend innovative solutions for system and process optimization focusing on cost planning, monitoring and controlling.
- DevOps Understanding:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerized environments.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Awareness of cloud-native solutions, hybrid architectures, and their cost implications.
- Broad understanding of system monitoring, backup/recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning
- Proficiency in Information Technologies:
- Comprehensive understanding of ITIL principles and processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms and cloud computing environments.
- General awareness of Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) administration

- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
- Proficiency in both business and technical communication.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
