Overview
A Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure and applications. This includes tasks such as designing, and implementing security and compliance measures, and ensuring the scalability and availability of the systems. The responsibilities include creating and maintaining documentation, such as architecture diagrams and system documentation, to ensure that other teams are able to understand and maintain the systems. Additional responsibilities include leading and mentoring other teams and ensuring that the company's architecture aligns with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
1. Strong understanding of cloud services and how to architect infrastructure and cloud native applications on the platform with one or more major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
2. Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
3. Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for cloud-based systems and experience implementing them on cloud.
4. Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience configuring and maintaining network infrastructure on cloud.
5. Experience with containerization and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in a cloud/hybrid environment.
7. Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Bash.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Certifications in cloud technologies (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
10. Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive is required.
11. Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java or Scala is a plus
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or related Fields.
- Certification in AWS or Big Data Technologies is a plus.
- Experience in AWS & Big Data Technonologies is a must.
