This is a remote position, based in the United States. The salary range offered for the position is $ 95,000 - $125,000 per year, DOE. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Summary of the Cloud Engineer:
The Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in designing, securing and optimizing Azure-based infrastructure that powers our SmartCare™ EHR platform. The person hired in this position is going to help us drive innovation in healthcare technology. This role manages cloud-based Windows Server environments, implements Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automates workflows. This is a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and you will interact with several different departments and levels of the organization. Your ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff, document processes, and problem-solve is essential.
Job Responsibilities for the Cloud Engineer:
Design and manage Cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring a robust, scalable and secure platform that enables seamless access to patient records and applications
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for repeatable, consistent and automated deployments
Automate administrative tasks, enhancing operational efficiency and providing innovative solutions
Implement security measures that ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Create clear and thorough documentation for infrastructure configurations, policies, and troubleshooting procedures
Work closely with IT, security, DevOps and project managers to align infrastructure strategies with organizational goals
Support process improvement using a creative, strategic, and innovative approach to data governance
Job Requirements for the Cloud Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of professional experience designing and managing cloud-based Window Server environments with expertise in Azure
Advanced experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes
Proficiency in automation tools like GitHub, PowerShell and Python
Deep understanding of the product management lifecycle and its impact on infrastructure
Refined communication, analytical and documentation skills – you thrive in a team-oriented environment

Outcome-focused, results-oriented mindset—you see challenges as opportunities and approach work with optimism
Experience with database technologies, including Redis and SQL Server is a plus
Microsoft Certifications in Azure Solutions Architecture, Azure Administration, or Azure Kubernetes are highly desirable.
