Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in administering and managing our public cloud environments, primarily AWS and Azure, with Oracle Cloud knowledge being a desirable addition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation using tools like Ansible, CloudFormation Templates (CFT), Terraform, Python, Lambda and PowerShell scripts. With 10+ years of experience in handling large public cloud estates, preferably in a pharmaceutical enterprise environment, the candidate will be adept at managing internal and external audits, and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Cloud Administration: Manage and administer public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI) ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Oracle Cloud Knowledge: Utilize and manage Oracle Cloud services as required.
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools using Ansible, CloudFormation Templates (CFT), Terraform, Python, Lambda and PowerShell to streamline cloud operations.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud environments meet security standards and compliance requirements. Handle internal and external audit requests. Need to know cloud Security tools ( Security hub , Guard duty , Amazon inspector , Azure, and Oracle Sec Tools ), Knowledge on Rapid-7 Cloudsec is an Added Advantage 
  • Active Directory & SSO: Integrate and manage Active Directory, Azure SSO, Public Cloud WAF Management and Azure Application Proxy to support secure access management.
  • Container Services: Manage and deploy containerized applications using ECS , Fargate , Beanstalk and EKS. 
  • Database Management: Understand and manage database services within the cloud environments.
  • OS Management: Administer Linux-based and Windows Based systems within cloud infrastructures.
  • Communication: Provide clear and concise oral and written communication to stakeholders, including technical documentation and reports.
  • Datacenter Management : Good understanding for Datacenter Environment which includes ( Servers , Storage , Networks , Backups ..etc )
  • Vmware Management : Manage and administer Vmware infrastructure Across Datacenters 
  • Vendor management: Building strong relationships with vendors and ensuring timely deliveries and receiving efficient technical support. 
  • Risk management: Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks, helps maintain data center uptime and protect critical information assets.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Oracle Certifications ) are a plus.

Qualifications/ Required

Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:

  • Experience: 7-8 years of experience in managing large public cloud estates in an enterprise environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS ,Azure and Oracle Cloud experience is desirable.
  • Automation Tools: Strong experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Python, Lambda ,CloudFormation Templates (CFT), Terraform, and PowerShell scripts.
  • Security & Compliance: Proven ability to manage cloud security and compliance, and handle audit processes.
  • Directory Services: Good understanding of Active Directory, Azure SSO, Azure Application Proxy and AWS Identity Service 
  • Containers: Experience with ECS, Fargate, Beanstalk and EKS for container management.
  • Database Concepts: Solid understanding of database concepts and management in cloud environments.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
