We are looking for hands-on full-stack senior engineer who is passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. The senior Engineer plays a significant role in crafting and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery within the construct of an Agile team. The role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of our core organizational functions. Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. There is also an expectation to contribute to the codebase and deliver solutions against the sprint-level commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Strategic Development: Architect, design, and personally implement highly complex and critical architectural components, foundational services, and advanced AI agentic proofs-of-concept. Your code will set the standard for quality, performance, and maintainability across the portfolio, directly influencing the technical trajectory of key products. Continuously improve software development processes through automation and AI solutions.
  • Able to direct teams on how to develop and deliver systems that are efficient with resource usage such as hardware, runtime, performance, load, and memory requirements.
  • Provide the corresponding architectural guidance, and conduct design reviews and code reviews based on the projects assigned to your LOB
  • Communication & Risk Management: Effectively communicate progress, manage bottlenecks, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance and safeguarding Citigroup interests.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and Python-based agentic frameworks to enhance development efficiency and optimize software solutions. Stay updated on the evolving AI landscape to propose and implement innovative product features.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze and troubleshoot complex coding, performance, and design challenges, including AI model integration and agent orchestration.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Experience: Minimum of 10 years in software development with strong expertise in Java, Python, Spring Boot, React, Oracle, and Postgres/Oracle.
  • Modern Application Development:
    • In-depth knowledge of modern application architecture, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Principles (Java, Python).
    • Proven experience in architecting and building scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
    • Practical experience with AI tools and AI agentic frameworks for development workflows.
    • Proficiency in Microservices (Spring Boot, Python frameworks like Flask/Django), Event-Driven Services, and Cloud-Native Development, including REST and GraphQL.
    • Experience with Container Orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
    • Strong CI/CD pipeline proficiency (Maven, Gradle, Poetry, Docker, Jenkins).
    • AWS experience is a significant plus.
  • Full Stack Proficiency: Ability to design, develop, and maintain both front-end (React) and back-end (Java, Python) components.
  • API Development: Capable of designing and implementing high-performance RESTful APIs.
  • Agile & Version Control: Experience with Agile methodologies (JIRA) and code versioning tools (GitHub Enterprise, Bitbucket).
  • Testing Automation: Ability to develop comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
