ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure optimal performance of all servers by proactively conducting ongoing performance; monitor, tune, adjust as necessary.
  • Ensure server security by reviewing and implementing approved server policies within the system.
  • Enhance functionality of systems by developing and modifying scripts or other vehicles to automate system processes.
  • Develop and make recommendations regarding hardware upgrades and new software releases, because of research, analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating current and future requirements.
  • Create optimal server infrastructure in support of new applications by researching and recommending hardware/software technologies in support of application requirements.
  • Develop and maintain all relevant documentation.
  • Provide support to application developers/programmers by providing technical knowledge and guidance.
  • Ensure optimal server set-up by conducting effective new hardware installation, hardware replacement/upgrades and by performing operating system configurations as needed.

 

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Self-starter and able to address and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Aptitude to solve technical and practical problems and make recommendations to technical test members.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and effectively manage own time and priorities.
  • Ability to diagnose network issues and knowledge of IP networking basics.
  • Basic system troubleshooting skills and diagnostic methodologies for both hardware and software.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Environment web app and web services.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write reports, desired.
  • Skills with Microsoft Environment C#/ Visual Studio, desired.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS and database theories, desired.

Cloud Engineer I

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of commercial experience with at least one cloud environment (Azure, AWS, Google).
  • Experience designing and setting up landing zones.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in handling production outages and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with Unix or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in networking: Routing, Switching, Load-Balancers, Firewalls, VPN.
  • Experience with enterprise level IPAM, subnet, VLAN management.
  • Experience with securing VPCs, subnets, and workloads in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Azure Containers.
  • Experience writing and debugging scripts in a modern language (Python, Go, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Expert understanding of Source code repositories like Azure DevOps (TFS).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Ansible and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with log and analysis tools.
  • Experience with selecting and managing monitor and alert tools.
  • Experience integrating software systems, desired.

Cloud Engineer II

  • Maintain contemporary knowledge of industry trends, concepts, and techniques.
  • Participate in the execution of disaster recovery processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years Cloud Engineer experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
  • Knowledge of implementing Network and Security Constructs via automation in a cloud environment.
  • Experience integrating software systems, desired.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins, and other automation tools.
  • Experience in analyzing, understanding, designing, and implementing new products, services, and utilities in the web environment.

Cloud Engineer III

  • Develop and deliver cross-training to selected associates.
  • Maintain contemporary knowledge of industry trends, concepts, and techniques.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery processes

Requirements

  • 4+ years Cloud Engineer experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
  • Expert level experience with at least one cloud environment (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.).
  • Expert level hands-on experience designing and setting up landing zones.
  • Expertise in identity (Active Directory, SAML, Azure AD, multi-factor authentication/conditional access tools), desired
