Responsibilities

• Design, develop and automate solutions that improve efficiency, scalability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based infrastructure solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain various cloud services (e.g., virtual machines, containers, serverless functions, databases) as per project requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient software deployments and updates.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement best practices for securing cloud infrastructure, data, and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement highly available and scalable cloud-based solutions.
• Optimize cloud resources, leveraging cost management tools and techniques to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Participate in the evaluation, selection, and adoption of new cloud services and technologies.

Experience & Education

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Information & Computer Science, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science. 
• 3+ years of cloud and automation experience in Cloud and automation tools such as Azure DevOps.
• 3+ years’ experience working in automation and DevOps.
• 2+ years’ experience with Scripting languages for Azure (ARM, CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, etc)
• 3+ years of architecture design, implementation, and support of highly distributed setups (ensure high availability and reliability)
• 1+ years of experience in migrating on-premises workloads to the public cloud.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of cloud, automation, and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and orchestration tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and data privacy in the cloud.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a cloud environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively and follow through.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills utilizing both internal and external resources to get the job done. Work through issues and challenges
• Ability to do technical design and documentation.
• Have excellent technical leadership
• Self-starter and motivator and ability to work in team and also with minimal direction.
