The Disaster Recovery Program Manager makes an impact by developing, implementing, and managing the disaster recovery program to ensure the continuity of business systems in the event of a disaster.   This role will be responsible for ensuring successful execution and management of the Disaster Recovery program, including testing, documenting, and reporting on the outcomes and effectiveness of the program.   The Disaster Recovery Program Manager is the primary liaison between all IT departments ensuring seamless communication and collaboration on the Disaster Recovery efforts.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and Supervise the Disaster Recovery Program for the IT organization.
• Leads risk assessments to understand the potential financial and operational impacts of a disaster on the company and use this information to prioritize recovery efforts.
• Defines and creates the Disaster and Operational Recovery and Business Continuity documentation. Collects and maintains data regarding the business impact of a disaster.
• Collaborates and provides guidance to all IT departments on disaster recovery procedures and testing
• Drives program communications, ensuring the development teams, technical teams, stakeholders, management, and executive leadership are properly informed.
• Leads Disaster Recovery Testing to meet business needs

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or a combination of equivalent education and/or work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in IT Program Management, disaster recovery and business continuity planning preferred
• Proficient in one or more project management tools (Jira- highly preferred, SmartSheet, Asana, etc)
• Demonstrates key competencies to include Action Oriented, Communicates Effectively, Collaborates

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director of Cloud Account Management. You will have 2 engineers on your team and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Disaster Recovery Program Manager, Sr, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ. In October 2021, Choice opened a newly constructed world class technology center.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $130,000 annually.

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
