The Opportunity
As a Cloud DevOps Principal Engineer you'll work as technical leader alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile environment, continuously managing short change cycles to drive to our future state strategy. You will ensure that security is seamlessly and effectively integrated with the software development lifecycle. By integrating security practices into the DevOps process, you will help bridge the traditional gap between development, operations, and security teams, reducing vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and enhancing the overall security posture of the organization's digital assets.
Responsibilities

  • Work as a technical leader alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile environment, continuously managing short change cycles to drive to our future state strategy.
  • Design/build/deploy complex, forward-looking Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications deployed onto the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.
  • Build, integrate and maintain Takeda's DevSecOps Platform Capabilities including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), code quality/vulnerability scanning and container security platforms.
  • Build and maintain Python-based solutions and integrations with DevSecOps tooling and focus on leveraging GenAI to increase developer productivity.
  • Contribute to increasing developer agility across Takeda by focusing on providing a frictionless self-service experience via integrated tooling and processes.
  • Work with Cybersecurity/Compliance to refine existing processes.
  • Create a T/O framework by integrating APM instrumentation and offer "building blocks" for teams. Manage the T/O capability roadmap to include new technologies. Maintain Takeda's Internal Developer Portal to streamline developer tasks, including self-service tools for code, dependencies, and DORA metrics.
  • Lead creation and evolution of reusable architectural patterns and DevSecOps and Agile approaches. Play an key role in the DevSecOps Community at Takeda, promoting efficient work practices and connecting product teams. Support teams to achieve multiple releases daily and focus on customer needs to provide high-quality solutions.


Skills and Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.
  • Strong hands on experience building and maintaining public cloud infrastructure.
  • Expertise in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub, GitHub Actions or equivalent and deploying infrastructure and applications on public cloud.
  • Highly proficient in provisioning cloud resources using Infrastructure as a code (IaC) with hands-on experience developing Terraform and Ansible.
  • Expert experience with Container Orchestration and Security: Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS, Helm, ArgoCD, AquaSec, Quay.
  • Hands on experience in system level scripting using BASH and/or PowerShell.
  • Hands on programming skills in one or more high level languages like Python, and Java.
  • Fluency with modern DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline processes.
  • Good Operating System level debugging skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 4450 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
