The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75-115k at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will do in This Role:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to support fast, reliable releases.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Terraform, Helm, and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Manage and deploy cloud services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux, Pulumi).
- Handle GCP networking, IAM, and multi-project configurations for secure, scalable infrastructure.
- Support hybrid cloud and on-prem environments, improving internal developer workflows and automation.
- Build proof-of-concepts for emerging tools and technologies that enhance automation, security, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with UX/UI, QA, and AppSec teams to integrate automation into the broader development lifecycle.
- Apply secure software development principles across infrastructure and application layers.
- Propose and develop custom tools, platforms, or services that improve CI/CD efficiency, observability, or deployment safety.
What We’re Looking For:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP DevOps Engineer, CKA, or frontend/backend development certs) are a plus.
Professional Experience
- 3-5 years of experience as a software engineer with proven work across both infrastructure and application layers.
- Demonstrated ability to solve engineering challenges creatively using a mix of DevOps practices, full-stack development, and modern cloud tooling.
- Experience leading or contributing to the design of internal tools, systems automation, or developer platforms.
Core Technical Skills
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Cloud Platforms: GCP (preferred), AWS or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (2+ years), Helm, Bash, Python
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Docker Compose
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least two of the following — Python, Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Frontend Technologies: Experience with React, Angular, or other modern frameworks desirable
- Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry
- Security Methods: Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), IAM standard methodologies, and secrets management
