Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office / remote.
We’re looking for an engineer with strong hands-on experience across Linux, Windows, and cloud-native environments, paired with a deep automation mindset. You’ve built and maintained CI/CD pipelines, written IaC at scale, and worked in compliance-driven environments where NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DISA STIGs aren’t foreign concepts. They’re part of your normal workflow. You operate independently, you communicate well across technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you take ownership of your work from design through deployment. Experience supporting federal customers in air-gapped environments is a meaningful differentiator for this role.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Ansible, and/or CloudFormation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) that bake security in from the start
- Write automation in Ansible coupled with Infrastructure defined by Terraform code to cut down on manual work and keep deployments consistent
- Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-native applications across EC2, VPC, EKS, S3, RDS, AWS Bedrock, and related AWS services
- Implement and maintain security controls including IAM, encryption, network security, SELinux, and kernel hardening
- Apply DISA STIGs and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP requirements
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
- Collaborate with development and security teams to push DevSecOps practices forward
- Keep documentation current so the next person isn’t starting from scratch
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000
