Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our cell therapy technology team. They will play a crucial role in streamlining our software development and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable release cycles. They will also be responsible for integrating and automating various stages of the software development lifecycle, from code check-ins to production deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help execute Application Re-platforming & Refactoring.
  • Works closely with software development teams, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability and scalability of a portfolio of applications.
  • Design, create, modify scalable software.
  • Document the CI/CD processes, best practices, and tools.
  • Implement automated testing in the CI/CD pipeline to ensure quality.
  • Work with the team to set up dashboards and alerts for system health and performance metrics.
  • Integrate logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions into the application and infrastructure.
  • Establish branching strategies and best practices for code check-ins.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving deployment-related issues.
  • Fix bugs or other coding issues.
  • Responsible for application access control, security baseline monitoring, security education and awareness, threat, and vulnerability management.
  • Maintain the systems that support software development, deployment, and operations.
  • Utilize automated testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure the quality and stability of application releases.
  • Support and use the DevOps delivery model and Agile project delivery methodology.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the organization's DevOps practices and processes.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of the DevOps hosted applications and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage incidents, requests and implement changes leveraging ITIL tools and processes.
  • Serve as escalation point for application related issues and operational incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure applications have an appropriate run support model, including monitoring and escalation processes.
  • Work with Cyber Security team to maintain security and data protection for portfolio of applications.
  • Support tech debt management by working closely with the application owners by maintaining tech stack. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Experienced Full Stack developer on a DevOps team.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture.
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or similar.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK or Prometheus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a matrixed environment and to influence adoption of new thinking and technology.
  • Strong learning agility.
  • Exhibit a positive work approach, with high productivity and a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in working with managed service providers.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, infrastructure qualification and validation of applications.
  • AWS professional certification.

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
