Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Contribute to the build and maintenance of cloud tooling, workflows, and infrastructure that enable developers to efficiently support cloud-based platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud infrastructure, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
- Support the development and maintenance of Brambles' bespoke digital frameworks, including the BRIX platform, to ensure they meet operational and technical requirements.
- Contribute to serialization and asset digitization programs by setting up and maintaining IoT and Edge platforms, ensuring integration with cloud services.
- Automate new and existing processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and security within cloud infrastructure and operations.
- Maintain and optimize Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, supporting product and software delivery across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security and governance policies, regularly reviewing and updating cloud configurations to meet best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends, applying knowledge to continuously improve the cloud platform and its capabilities.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized solutions, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies and the ability to work independently while leveraging team expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud architectures using AWS and CNCF technologies.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Build and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Ensure security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
- Support disaster recovery planning and high availability strategies.
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
- Document technical processes and maintain clear, concise documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (Intermediate), Cloud-native tooling (Kubernetes, Prometheus, Envoy).
- Automation & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket, blue-green deployments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, configuration management.
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes orchestration.
- Programming & Scripting: Python (Proficient), Java/Scala (Basic), Linux (Basic).
- Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry.
- Security Architecture: Understanding of security tooling and controls.
- Networking: Basic troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Data Technologies: SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Kafka.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda).
- Knowledge of edge computing and big data workflows.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator.
