As a Cloud Data Engineer in the Engineering Metrics Squad, you will work across the team on the ingestions, aggregation, and movement of data from various sources across the enterprise. This is a hands-on technical data engineering role that requires technical skills and knowledge of various data types and databases. You will work with the cloud database architects and developers to establish the pipelines and views needed to visualize enterprise engineering metrics. You will collaborate with architects, developers, security, operations, and Business Unit cloud CoE’s and database engineering teams to ensure that the data movement is efficient and appropriate usage of cloud databases following the required Fidelity operational and security policies.
The Expertise and Skills You BringHands-on experience and expertise as a data engineer across various data types: structured, unstructured, semi-structured.
Experience in Data warehouse technologies like Snowflake
Proficiency cloud infrastructure, both AWS and Azure
Proficient with Python, Java, SQL, and Groovy
Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube.
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
Your experience working in Agile software development environments.
Proven track record as a positive teammate with an ability to effectively communicate and share your business and technical knowledge with peers, partners, and management.
Your strong commitment to high quality and standards for your code and your team’s code.
The candidate will work as part of the engineering metrics squad to delivery impactful insights into the metrics focused on speed, effectiveness, quality, and impact. Key technical roles and responsibilities include establishing transformations for data from enterprise platforms, creating new end-to-end data pipelines, and documenting data lineage from the source to the consumer.
