Summary:
The Cloud Citrix Analyst is responsible for supporting, operating, and optimizing ADT’s Citrix virtual application and desktop environments across a hybrid infrastructure footprint, including on‑prem data centers, colocation facilities, and public cloud. This role supports Citrix DaaS/CVAD, NetScaler/ADC access services, and underlying compute platforms such as VMware virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and Google Compute Engine (GCE) as a cloud‑native hypervisor. The analyst partners with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to ensure secure access, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for Citrix DaaS/CVAD and virtual desktop/application environments across on‑prem and Google Cloud platforms.
- Support on‑prem infrastructure including VMware ESXi/vCenter environments that underpin Citrix and application workloads.
- Support hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms, assisting with capacity planning, performance troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities.
- Support cloud‑native compute platforms including Google Compute Engine (GCE) for Citrix‑hosted and supporting workloads.
- Administer and support Citrix components including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Cloud Connectors, Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), and Workspace.
- Support NetScaler/ADC and gateway components for secure access, load balancing, and traffic management.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and service requests following established procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis and participate in incident, problem, and change management processes using ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with network, identity, security, storage, and application teams to resolve cross‑platform issues.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and configuration standards.
- Participate in scheduled after‑hours and on‑call rotation, providing support for business‑critical infrastructure services.
- Support maintenance activities, upgrades, patching, DR testing, and planned change events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
- Hands‑on experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of hybrid infrastructure operations across cloud and on‑prem platforms.
- Experience supporting VMware virtualization (vCenter / ESXi) in production environments.
- Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms and operational concepts.
- Experience supporting Google Cloud workloads, including GCE, networking, and monitoring.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Citrix, compute, network, identity, and storage layers.
- Knowledge of ITIL‑based operational practices (incident, change, and problem management).
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to support high‑availability, business‑critical systems in an operational environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting Citrix environments and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory‑integrated environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- VMware, Citrix, or cloud platform certifications.
- Experience supporting HCI platforms in enterprise environments.
- Experience operating production workloads in Google Cloud.
- Exposure to automation, scripting, or infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work 4:1, with one day work from home.
- May require after‑hours, weekend, or off‑shift work during incidents, maintenance windows, or critical business events.
- Participation in a rotating 24x7 on‑call support model is required.
Travel:
- Occasional travel, less than 25%, as required.
