The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Point C’s enterprise cloud infrastructure. Reporting to the Vice President of AI and Automation Engineering, this role drives cloud strategy, leads modernization efforts, partners closely with cybersecurity, and establishes standards that ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments across the organization.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute cloud architecture strategy across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Design and oversee implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure.
Lead cloud migration and modernization of legacy and acquired applications.
Ensure cloud architectures meet cybersecurity, HIPAA, and PHI/PII compliance requirements.
Build and maintain IaC frameworks and automated CI/CD pipelines.
Implement containerization and orchestration approaches using Docker and Kubernetes.
Establish cloud monitoring, logging, and cost-optimization practices.
Partner with cybersecurity teams to integrate security tools and improve threat detection.
Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate cloud service providers.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing enterprise cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with at least one cloud certification.
7+ years of enterprise architecture experience with scalable, highly available, and secure system design.
Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and managed orchestration platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE).
Deep understanding of cloud networking, IAM, encryption, and security best practices.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps automation.
Prior technical leadership experience driving cloud transformation initiatives.
Experience with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, PHI/PII) preferred.
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid architectures a plus.
Exposure to cloud data platforms, data lakes, and real-time data processing preferred.
Familiarity with cloud cost-optimization and FinOps principles.
Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Experience designing cloud-based disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
