The Vice President Cloud Architect Engineer role within End user services working on initiatives such as M365 Copilot, Azure Bots, Zoom AI and other strategic projects. The role would be used to expand the Architecture function that cross functionally supports all EUS teams.
The ideal candidate will have significant industry knowledge of Architecture, solution design and Cloud Infrastructure. It is a role that requires an existing deep technical knowledge and an ability to consume and disseminate new technologies to the leadership team. The role requires the individual to be self-motivated and autonomous while having the ability to work with a wider team of Architects and Senior Architects to deliver against Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) and EUS strategic goals.
We are looking for a Cloud Architect to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure, who is ready to take ownership of solution design, security integration, and cross-platform interoperability. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and a collaborative problem-solver with a passion for secure, scalable cloud architecture.

- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions, primarily SaaS cloud services with an emphasis on Microsoft 365.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services with enterprise identity and security frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and optimize cloud-based networking and application performance.
- Support governance and compliance initiatives, including eDiscovery and data protection.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Cloud & Microsoft 365 Expertise:
- Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft GraphAPI and security controls
- Microsoft M365 Messaging and Collaboration services – Workloads, Purview Information protection, Compliance and data governance.
- Copilot Design, Controls and governance
- Integration with Entra ID (Azure AD)
Cloud Architecture & Networking:
Experience designing and troubleshooting cloud-based solutions.
Familiarity with:
- Proxy configurations and PAC files
- SASE architecture
- DNS, routing, and firewall management
- Authentication and Authorization
Security & Compliance:
- Understanding of:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Encryption and data protection
- Least Privilege Access principles
- Network security best practices
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable presenting technical solutions to management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6–10 years of experience in cloud architecture or engineering roles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Security Engineer Associate).
- Experience in enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
