Global Portfolio Engineering (GPE) is hiring a GPE Cloud and Edge Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable cloud-to-edge platforms that support multiple regional and business teams. These roles will provide deep technical leadership in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, container platforms, edge-to-cloud integration, and enterprise security practices.

We are looking for hands-on engineers who can standardize architecture patterns, improve reliability and security, and partner with automation engineering teams to deliver repeatable, production-ready solutions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and operate cloud-native infrastructure platforms that support distributed edge and centralized cloud workloads.

  • Build and maintain Kubernetes-based runtime environments for resilient, secure, and observable operations.

  • Define and enforce platform standards for networking, identity, access control, secrets management, and workload security.

  • Architect and maintain CI/CD and GitOps deployment workflows for infrastructure and platform services.

  • Collaborate with automation engineering teams to integrate controls, deployment pipelines, and operational guardrails.

  • Lead containerization strategy for platform services, including image lifecycle, vulnerability management, and runtime hardening.

  • Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices for cloud and edge environments.

  • Create reusable reference architectures, templates, and operational runbooks for global adoption.

  • Support regional teams with technical guidance, design reviews, and production readiness assessments.

  • Contribute to long-term platform evolution, including multi-cloud readiness and future architecture expansion.

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and enterprise-scale orchestration.

  • Experience with hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures and connectivity.

  • Knowledge of zero-trust security, IAM/RBAC, secrets management, and policy governance.

  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD/GitOps practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, platforms, and application environments.

  • Experience with service mesh, API gateways, observability, and centralized logging.

  • Familiarity with industrial, manufacturing, or operational technology environments.

  • Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or security certifications

What We Offer:
