About the Role
As the Cloud and Database Developer with N8N, you will architect and implement a robust cloud-native backend infrastructure using AWS services while building sophisticated N8N workflows for document processing and AI integrations. This role requires expertise in designing scalable database systems, implementing real-time APIs, managing complex data workflows, and ensuring secure, compliant handling of sensitive health data.
You will bridge traditional cloud architecture with workflow automation, creating seamless data flows from user interactions through document processing, AI analysis, and results delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecting and implementing comprehensive AWS cloud infrastructure including API Gateway, Lambda functions, and database services
- Designing and building sophisticated N8N workflows for document processing, AI service integrations, and automated data pipelines
- Implementing robust database architecture using RDS/Aurora and DynamoDB for optimal performance and scalability
- Developing real-time APIs and WebSocket management systems for live status updates and notifications
- Building message queue systems using SQS/SNS for asynchronous processing and workflow orchestration
- Implementing secure document processing pipelines from S3 storage through AI extraction and database storage
- Designing and managing complex data flows including user session management, test completion tracking, and result correlation
- Integrating AI services (LLaMA Cloud, scoring algorithms) through automated workflows and API connections
- Implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using CloudWatch and EventBridge
- Managing DNS, SSL, and networking configuration using Route 53, VPC, and security groups
- Building Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation or AWS CDK for reproducible deployments
- Ensuring security best practices including IAM policies, Secrets Manager, and healthcare data compliance
- Collaborating with frontend developers to design optimal API structures and data exchange patterns
Must-Have:
- At least 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and backend development with strong emphasis on AWS services
- Proven experience with N8N workflow automation, including complex integrations and custom node development
- Strong background in database design, optimization, and management for both SQL and NoSQL systems
- Experience building real-time APIs, WebSocket systems, and high-performance serverless architectures
- Experience with healthcare, fitness, or data-sensitive applications requiring security and compliance considerations (nice to have)
- Demonstrated expertise in message queues, async processing, and event-driven architecture patterns
- Strong understanding of document processing workflows, file handling, and automated data extraction systems
- Experience integrating AI/ML services and managing data pipelines for algorithm processing
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with rapid deployment cycles
- Expertise in AI-assisted development workflows, including prompt engineering for cloud infrastructure automation and rapid prototyping

- You are a systematic cloud architect with strong problem-solving skills who thrives on building scalable, reliable backend systems.
- You have excellent technical communication skills, understand the importance of security in healthcare applications, and are passionate about leveraging both traditional cloud services and modern workflow automation tools
