The Role

Job Description

Purpose of the role

To develop and implement structured financial products and solutions to meet the needs of clients and optimize the bank's market exposure and profitability. 

Accountabilities

  • Development of innovative structured financial products and solutions to address the specific needs of clients, including derivatives, structured notes, and other structured investment products.
  • Risk analysis and management associated with structured products, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
  • Assessment of pricing and valuation of structured products, including the use of mathematical models and financial instruments, and liaising with trading to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Collaboration with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective product implementation and risk mitigation.

  • OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Join us as a CLO Structurer, where you will be part oof a deal team and you'll have the chance to participate in the execution of new issue CLOs. You will work closely with a Deal Captain to bring a CLO to market, from inception to closing. You will also coordinate the rating agency and documentation process and negotiate deal terms with managers, investors and rating agencies. In addition, you will prepare marketing materials for new transactions and participate in conference calls and marketing road shows.

To be successful as a CLO Structurer, you should have:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • 2+ years of experience in securitization structuring or capital markets

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, written, and oral communication skills and attention to detail
  • Registered Representative (series 7, 63 & 79)
  • Experience in using Intexcalc, Intex Dealmaker, S&P Cash Flow Evaluator, Moody's CDO Edge
  • VBA/ programming
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in our New York, New York office.

This role is FINRA regulated.

Minimum Salary: $125,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
