Summary:
Responsible for supporting the nurse manager in administrative duties of the unit, especially during off shifts. The Shift Supervisor will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Able to provide patient care when needed, remains competent in clinical skills.
Requirements:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. BSN degree. CPR. Must demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills with Medical/Surgical patients. Prior supervisory experience strongly desired. Should exhibit personal characteristics that enhance the effectiveness of the role, including effective interpersonal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Work Shift Details:

Days - 12 Hours, Supervisors work holidays and weekend rotations. Additional participation in staff meetings and leadership training will be expected.

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$35.00 - $42.50

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.

Skills Required

  • Registered Nurse license in Illinois
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • CPR certification
  • Clinical knowledge and skills with Medical/Surgical patients
  • Ability to provide direct patient care and maintain clinical competency
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Effective interpersonal communication and proactive problem-solving
