 Position Summary 

The Wraparound Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight of Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) within Crittenton's High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) program. This role ensures the delivery of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based services while maintaining fidelity to the High Fidelity Wraparound model, Medi-Cal, and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) requirements. The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical consultation, risk management oversight, and supervision of licensed and unlicensed clinical staff, ensuring the integration of clinical and non-clinical services while preserving the family-driven, facilitator-led Child and Family Team (CFT) process. 


Essential Duties 

  • Provides individual and group clinical supervision to Associate Clinicians (e.g., AMFT, ASW, APCC) in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) standards and MediCal requirements. 
  • Maintains accurate documentation of supervision logs, agreements, and required licensure  
  • tracking materials. 
  • Ensures medical necessity and clinical appropriateness of SMHS delivered within the Wraparound and ICM frameworks. 
  • Provides clinical consultation during all phases of Wraparound (Engagement, Initial Plan Development, Plan Implementation, and Transition). 
  • Delivers clinical consultation to Wraparound employees (licensed and non-licensed) on intervention strategies, clinical insight, ethical practice, crisis stabilization, incident reporting, and risk management. 
  • Participates in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings as needed to provide clinical consultation and support risk management while maintaining facilitator leadership and family voice. 
  • Provides consultation on assessment, co-occurring needs, crisis intervention, and safety planning; reviews and approves crisis and safety plans for clinical soundness and integration into Plans of Care. 
  • Participates in quality improvement and fidelity monitoring activities aligned with the California Wraparound Standards and fidelity assessment tools (e.g., WFI-EZ, TOM), supporting continuous improvement of High Fidelity Wraparound practice. 
  • Ensures clinical documentation supports medical necessity and aligns with Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) requirements. 
  • Attends interagency and community meetings to advocate for needs, supports, and alignment. 
  • Collaborates in developing individualized and culturally relevant aftercare and transition plans that are sustainable and inclusive of natural supports and Tribal partners in the case of an Indian child. 
  • Supports appropriate use and interpretation of assessment tools (e.g., IP-CANS, PSC-35) to inform planning and progress monitoring. 
  • Collaborates with psychiatric providers, MHRS employees, and Community Developers to ensure SMHS and non-clinical supports are coordinated and non-duplicative; builds interagency partnerships and attends community meetings. 
  • Supports employee development in Wraparound practice including strengths-based planning, youth and family voice and choice, and use of natural supports. 
  • Ensures all clinical supervision, documentation, and service records are maintained in accordance with organizational, Medi-Cal, and regulatory requirements. 
  • On-Call rotation duties to support 24/7 client care. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  4. Collaboration and Consultation: Provides clear, respectful consultation to multidisciplinary team members and system partners. 
  5. Documentation and Compliance: Maintains high standards for clinical documentation and Medi-Cal compliance 

Requirements

 Education / Experience Required? 

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution. 
  • Current California licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC required and ongoing compliance with licensure CEUs and updates to BBS supervision requirements. 
  • Must possess (2) years of post-licensure experience providing mental health services to children, youth, and families. 
  • Experience working within Wraparound programs (Medi-Cal or publicly funded behavioral  health programs strongly preferred). 
  • Must qualify as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) and Medi-Cal Specialty  
  • Mental Health Services (SMHS) provider, in accordance with Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) Section 4096.6. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other threshold language) strongly preferred.  

Clearances and Requirements  

  • Must successfully clear DOJ and FBI fingerprint checks. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Compliance with County and agency background screening requirements. 
  • Valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance. 
  • Ability to travel throughout Los Angeles County to support field-based services and Child Family Team (CFT) participation. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support family-centered scheduling and crisis consultation. 

Skills Required

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related behavioral health discipline
  • Current California licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC
  • Minimum two years post-licensure experience providing mental health services to children, youth, and families
  • Ongoing compliance with licensure CEUs and California BBS supervision requirements
  • Qualification as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) and Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) provider per WIC 4096.6
