Clinical Sales Specialist – State Hospital

We are looking for a Sales Executive to join our State Clinical Sales team based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are looking for someone with clinical knowledge, who is customer focused with excellent planning, engagement, negotiation and execution skills. About the Role

The Sales Executive will be part of a dynamic Sales team and will be responsible for the sales, promotions and launches of Essity products within the State Hospital channel. The incumbent will be responsible for building and growing our Health and Medical Solution brands. This role reports directly to the State Sales Manager.

What You Will Do
  • Responsible for all sales activities and sales targets within the territory to achieve business objectives;

  • Market awareness and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive activities;  

  • Effectively plan and execute training, education and sales calls (blended) in line with strategy;

  • Display clinical product knowledge by co-creating solutions with the customer, understanding the impact and application of the right product for the patient;

  • Drive Essity’s educational portfolio, generate demand, and identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling;

  • Roll out training sessions with customers to ensure correct product application and assist with technical use of the products;

  • Regularly communicate with all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction;

  • Responsible for administrative tasks, planning, reporting, placing of orders and follow-up on marketing activities.

Who You Are
  • Must have matric and a post matric qualification preferably in Sales, Sales & Marketing or Nursing;

  • 3-5 years' medical Sales experience within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry, preferably selling in Hospital (private & state);

  • Advanced wound care experience and CRICE certification will be advantageous;

  • Excellent computer skills - Microsoft package experience is essential with CRM knowledge;

  • Must be an excellent communicator (written, verbal and listening) and engage in a professional manner with all stakeholders;

  • Must be able to work independently and be a team player;

  • Must be able to work under pressure, with strong prioritizing and negotiating skills;

  • Must be fluent in English;

  • Must have a valid RSA Driver’s License.

Skills Required

  • Matric (high school) and post-matric qualification
