Job Description:

The Clinical Research Manager III independently leads complex, high-visibility clinical research projects, ensuring strong scientific quality, operational performance, financial oversight, and client satisfaction. This role manages cross-functional teams, builds trusted client relationships, mentors junior colleagues, and promotes consistent, efficient project delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables meet quality, timeline, budget, and client expectations.
  • Develop strong client partnerships, anticipate needs, identify risks and opportunities, and provide proactive project guidance.
  • Manage project finances, including forecasting, budget oversight, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate collaboration across Clinical Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance, and other internal teams.
  • Review project deliverables for scientific accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with client and organizational standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Managers, and other team members.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, visibility, accountability, and quality.
  • Administer policies and procedures that affect team operations and workflow.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Up to five years of related experience, including at least one year of leadership responsibility.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management methods and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex or multi-registry projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management and financial tracking systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $105,000.00–$115,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
