Rockstar is recruiting for a mission-driven digital health startup dedicated to improving the lives of autistic and neurodivergent adults. Our client offers virtual mental health services tailored specifically for this community, and has rapidly grown to serve thousands of clients with a team of over 200 clinicians. Backed by recent Series A funding, the company is poised to transform mental health care for autistic and neurodivergent adults nationwide.

The Role

As a Clinical Recruiter, the individual in this role will be instrumental in building a world-class clinical team by identifying, attracting, and hiring exceptional therapists and psychologists. This person will develop innovative sourcing strategies, build relationships with future clinicians, and create seamless candidate recruiting experiences that reflect the organization’s values. By expanding the clinical talent pipeline, the Clinical Recruiter will directly enable the company to serve more clients and transform mental health care for autistic adults.

What You’ll Do

- Source and recruit psychologists and therapists who are passionate about serving autistic and neurodivergent adults

- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals through authentic outreach and long-term engagement

- Manage the full recruiting process from initial contact to offer acceptance, ensuring a smooth candidate experience at each step of the recruiting process

- Get creative with sourcing strategies: research targets, craft personalized messaging, and find new ways to connect with the right people

- Work closely with the clinical team to understand exactly what is needed and adjust the approach based on different specialties and backgrounds

- Keep everything organized—track candidates, verify credentials and licenses, maintain the ATS, and report on progress

- Jump in when standard approaches aren’t working and come up with new solutions

What We’re Looking For

- Communication & relationship building – Ability to articulate the company mission and values compellingly, connect exceptionally well with healthcare professionals, build rapport quickly, and maintain long-term candidate networks through authentic engagement

- Effective prioritization – Ability to prioritize searches effectively, manage competing deadlines, and allocate time strategically to meet hiring targets in a fast-paced environment

- Prospecting intelligence – Skill in identifying and researching licensed psychologists and therapists, successfully converting prospects into active candidates through compelling messaging, and tailoring outreach based on candidate backgrounds

- Bias for action – Proactive in optimizing recruiting processes, leveraging recruiting software effectively, and sourcing candidates with quick response times and a sense of urgency to move prospects efficiently through the recruitment process without compromising quality

- Organization & attention to detail – Experience managing full-cycle recruiting from LinkedIn outreach to offer closure, systematically verifying clinical licenses across multiple states, and maintaining precise ATS documentation

- Creative problem solving – Natural curiosity to develop creative solutions when standard approaches fail, knowing when to ask for help as needed

- Technology/ATS proficiency – Expertise with Greenhouse (or similar), LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other recruiting platforms

What We Offer

- Opportunity to shape a critical function within a growing startup

- Competitive salary

- Health, dental, and vision benefits

- Flexible PTO policy

More about the Client

Our client’s team is composed of thoughtful, caring, action-oriented problem-solvers—paired with true experts in the field, including clinicians and autistic self-advocates. The operations team is based in New York and spread across the U.S., with talent from Bain, McKinsey, BCG, FirstHand Health, SeatGeek, Benchling, and schools like Harvard, MIT, Yale, Penn, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, and more.

Culture

- Clients first – Decisions start by asking what is best for clients; the team stays extremely close to the community and self-advocates to best support autistic adults

- Honesty and transparency – Startups fail when they lose touch with reality. The team speaks the truth—to themselves and each other—because the mission depends on it.

- Play to win – The problems being solved are hard. The team is here for the challenge—and seeks teammates who are hungry to win.

- Growth mindset – The team won’t get everything right the first time. They learn fast, iterate, seek feedback, and keep getting better.

- Bias for action – Velocity matters. The team moves quickly, makes decisions, and focuses on what drives impact.

- Enjoy the journey – The team is building something meaningful, but is here to enjoy themselves while doing it. They laugh, support each other, and make the day-to-day fun.
