UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Clinical Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our Truman Health Services team. This opportunity is a full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Minimum $60,672 - Midpoint $75,840*

*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary

Under limited supervision, the Clinical Quality and Compliance Specialist assists with the development, planning, implementation and coordination of quality management, clinical compliance and accreditation programs. Assists with the development and monitoring of clinical health outcomes and process improvement projects, and ensures compliance of clinical policies, procedures and protocols. Supports the achievements and maintenance of national accreditations, and maintains related documents and records. Coordinates and facilitates meetings, program functions, and events as appropriate.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Clinical Quality and Compliance Specialist:

High school diploma or GED and 5 years of directly related experience. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Clinical Quality and Compliance Specialist:

  1. Monitors and enhances a quality management program to facilitate process improvement and departmental efficiencies and effectiveness.
  2. Implements the coordination of clinical compliance activities, including associated audits, to meet measures necessary to attain and/or maintain external accreditations.
  3. Assists in the collection, monitoring and analysis of a wide range of institutional data that will be used to establish benchmarks and to support decision-making, problem solving and planning for continuous quality improvement.
  4. Facilitates quality improvement projects with subject matter experts.
  5. Monitors and documents quality improvement projects and ensuring adherence to standard operating processes while preventing deviation from model.
  6. Assists in the development and maintenance of database(s) and associated measurements tools.
  7. Coordinates the development of policy and/or standard operating procedures in collaboration with senior leadership and clinic operations leaders.
  8. Develops statistical and narrative reports to the leadership team.
  9. Tracks education and trainings for clinical staff.
