Chesapeake Coaching of Oyster Point Psychological is seeking a compassionate and licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our growing behavioral health team. The psychologist will provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
The ideal candidate is passionate about evidence-based care, collaborative treatment, and helping clients achieve meaningful personal growth and wellness outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Administer and interpret psychological and cognitive testing
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary mental health professionals
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals when necessary
- Support clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, behavioral concerns, and related conditions
- Maintain ethical and professional standards in compliance with state regulations
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology or related field
- Active Virginia Psychologist license
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with telehealth platforms and EHR systems is a plus
